I asked how thick this blanket was. Seller replied that it was 1.5 inches thick. Item was as described upon first seeing it in person, but unfortunately the material was too compressible. Compresses easily from the disclosed 1.5 inches to less than half an inch just between my hands, pressing gently. I didn't feel it would be safe or thick enough to use under a saddle. Item returned.
