My son is out rowing with these oars right now. They work well, look beautiful and came very quickly. We have a large pond and an 8' rowboat. The old oars were cracked and repaired too many times. A lot of the places I checked only had metal oars which wouldn't work with either the oarlocks or our esthetic. Our rowing is for exercise and contemplation. So these are are perfect, they don't clank and the handgrips fit nicely.
