However, the OLD USED fuel pump was completely corroded on the insides along with both rust and dirt from all the insides of the pump. The old fuel deposits ate the springs completely thru and parts of the metal fuel bowl making it completely unusable even for a rebuild. Therefore, the pump cannot be rebuilt nor reused. It could only be salvaged for some parts, but not a complete useful core.
