The Nintendo 3DS XL Pokémon X and Y Blue is a limited-edition version of this popular handheld console. The Blue 3DS XL features blue-and-black graphic designs inspired by the Pokemon game. The 3DS XL is a large and sophisticated handheld console. This model is hinged and folds closed. When you open it, there are two separate screens on either side of the hinge. The top screen measures 4.88 inches diagonally, and the bottom screen measures 4.18 inches diagonally. These consoles also support 3D gameplay with compatible games. 3D in Pokemon and other games is possible without glasses or other accessories. Playing a video game on these Nintendo handhelds is as easy as snapping in a small cartridge. No separate peripherals are required. An analog joystick and a directional pad are built into the unit itself. It also features traditional gamepad buttons: X, Y, A, and B. There’s also a Home button, Start, Select, and volume slider, and additional controls can be found on the lower touchscreen. The larger upper display is used for gameplay and provides the 3D experience in video games. This 3DS handheld is much more than just a gaming device. Players can check out movies and shows through services like Netflix and YouTube. You can even access your own videos. You can listen to music, look through your photo library, and even take videos via two built-in cameras. One camera is forward-facing, and the other is great for taking selfies. This handheld also supports StreetPass and SpotPass. This Nintendo 3DS Pokémon edition comes with everything you need to battle and more. The unit has a built-in battery and includes an AC wall adapter that can be used to charge the console. You can also play the handheld while it charges. If you opt for digital content versus purchasing game cartridges, upgrading to a larger data card is simple.
