It came in the original box- sealed with plastic wrap- and appeared to truly be new/unopened. It came with what I think is a European electrical charger though. The phone itself is defective: the alerts slider doesn't work so there is no way to turn the ringer on. The phone also keeps giving an error message when I try to install any updates. It's kind of slow and kept nearly overheating while doing the initial setup.
