The listing says that this is hardened 1045 tool steel, but it is not. The first strike of this hammer onto heated steel for forging left a large gouge in the face of the hammer. I would avoid this seller unless they get better at heat treating their work. They should just list the measured hardness of their hammers so they can be verified.
