The book was misadvertised as a first edition (1885) but was in fact a third edition (1890 or later), as clearly indicated by the presence of the date 1890 at the end of the preface to 3rd ed. Therefore it commanded a much higher price than it was worth; seller offered a return, which did not make financial sense given overseas shipping costs. Seller offered a 10% refund in lieu of a return, whereas I felt a refund on the order of 40% would have been fairer given the error in the description.
