Seller Notes: “Fairly good - A superbly carved sculptural head of a male, it is difficult to date but I think it ... “Fairly good - A superbly carved sculptural head of a male, it is difficult to date but I think it is from the 1920s - 50s period. A lovely warm patina to the wood, the carving has been sympathetic to the grain of the wood with this being used to provide a most unusual affect. Very heavy, I think this could be oak and has had a slight stained finish to give a deep colouring, almost like mahogany.”
