The Kawasaki manual states that for the KX85 the upper and lower rings are different and should be marked 1N and 2N respectively. No identification marks were present on these rings making it impossible to determine which one was which

thats is for a kawasaki oem piston .... for all other makes of piston the top and bottom ring are the same , the piston rings supplied are stamped with the letter R the customer has looked in the correct place to see this , this indicates which way up the ring is installed , everyone with a bit a mx knowledge will know this , so if you need information its much more polite to contact us first with questions you have rather than leaving a neutral feedback
