I tested the DC with my voltage meter and both modes were up to specified readings. The sound portion works as it was intended to do. As far as cosmetics green scrub pad and Vaseline took care of the rust. Wiped it all done with alcohol, taped it off with the frog, gave it a couple of coats of chrome silver. Doesn't shine like the other two I have in the loft. At least rust is gone.
