The item was shipped as promised by the seller, however when it arrived it was damaged and I spent over a week back and forth trying to just send it back which they said i could not. I ended up getting Ebay involved and sent it back. I ended up buying it from somewhere else that was not affiliated with ebay.

This is simply not true. You sent me a message more than a week after you received the item. I accepted the return as I do with every return. The item you sent back was returned in a damaged box. It was not the item I sold you. It is clear you already had the item and it was broken so you decided to buy mine, keep it and send the broken item back. This is the first negative feedback I have ever received and I intend to fight it. I opened a case with eBay to have this transaction investigated.
