The watch I purchased was advertised as new and in the box but it was not new. It was in a previously opened and slightly beat-up box, and the watch had a previous user's information (female, height, weight, etc) entered into the user settings. It's in good enough condition to keep but I will not purchase from this seller again.
Apparently "new" doesn't mean really new to some people.
