Tool Is intended in assisting you in removing the hydraulic cylinder from the mechanism that controls an office chair movement. This tool was ineffective for my task at hand. The hydraulic cylinder is pressure fit into the mechanism. The tool can do no more than set up a vibration in the joint so as to loosen the cylinder. My chair was about 12 years old, used everyday. I am 6'6" tall and weigh 325Lbs. It think that was too much of a challenge for the tool.
