It is made of a fine silk fabric with antique Royal Society Silk hand embroidery needlework. This lot of two exquisite embroidered hankies each have a squared shape with scalloped edging and hand embroidered floral work details. The first hanky has a red stitched leaf edging with pink, yellow vine leaf flowers, drawn thread cut work details and measures 11 by 11 inches. The second hanky has whitework embroidered floral garland vine leaf polka dot designs with pale pink accents, a few faint tiny age spots stains, pin holes (see close-up) and measures 11 1/2 by 13 inches. This is truly a wonderful lot of handkerchief Royal Society Silk embroidery art.”
