It ... “This vintage floral print silk chiffon applique black Chantilly lace dress dates from the 1930s. It is made of a black background with a multicolored floral bouquet print sheer silk chiffon fabric with black Chantilly lace fabric accents and appliqued cutout silk print flowers on the bottom skirt. This gorgeous gown has a long floor length style with an asymmetrical full lace bottom skirt, lace trimmed front neckline, smocked gathering along the shoulders with lace trimmed bottom sleeves, a long key hole opening slit on the back top, no side opening or closures and is sheer, unlined. The dress is a large size measuring 60 inches long, with a 54 inch chest, 38 inch waist, 46 inch hips and a 17 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a small mended repair on the back neck (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art.”
