The width of the item doesn't quite taper off enough at the wide end nearest the headstock and might interfere slightly with accessibility to the fret board near the body. Custom "adjustability" for shorter lengths was not possible as the adjustment belt did not fit snugly enough through the slots and always pulled through to the very end. The black studded model was much better for this with the belt threading more snugly with no slippage once adjusted to the desired length.
