A dark and disturbing anime, TSUKIHIME, LUNAR LEGEND combines the horror and gothic romance genres to present a new twist on the popular vampire tradition seen in such anime as HELLSING and VAMPIRE HUNTER D. After barely surviving a serious accident as a child, high school student Shiki finds himself with the strange ability to see the "lifelines" of everything and everyone around him. For many years he manages to live a relatively normal life, using a pair of special glasses that shroud his peculiar visions. However, when he is called upon to return to his childhood home, Shiki finds himself entangled in a secret underworld of mysticism embodied by the lovely vampire Arcueid. TSUKIHIME, LUNAR LEGEND is based on a wildly popular doujinshi (a fan-made, rather than professional, manga) and offers a new version of the vampire mythology familiar to anime fans. This box set contains every episode from the entire series across three volumes.
