I bought it to replace a 15" cerwin vega sub 150. It has decent sound but nowhere close to the vega. My 10" Jamo in basement set up hits harder. This sub plays lower / deeper notes cleaner and with less distortion at higher volume than the Jamo but doesn't slam hard notes like the vega did. When running it with my svs pb2000's in my ht set up I can't tell that its on. It came up short of being a comparable replacement for the vega. I prefer listening to music with my 10" Jamo over this 15"

did you break in the sub for a couple hours first? Also sounds like your amp may be under powered
