Bound in the original blue cloth, titled in gilt to the spine, gilt vignette on front board. Internally clean and tight. Jacket unclipped, but with some edgewear and light soiling. Spine faded. Edition limited to 1000 copies, of which this is numbered 230. Limitation page signed by the author. In this most significant of Mitchell's exploratory journeys, Mitchell followed down the Lachlan to the Murray and Darling Rivers and then, from the Murray, made a great sweep through "Australia Felix" (now the rich Western District of Victoria).
