This book was listed as in excellent condition. That was an understatement. As with all the 100 greatest book series from Easton Press, this volume is bound in leather, with luxurious acid-free pages, some wonderful illustrations, and, best of all, the Middle English of Chaucer has been rendered into modern speech, the verse sections in couplets, by the editor, Frank Ernest Hill. This was worth every penny I paid and then some.
