These were listed for a 73 Mustang but they are not a direct replacement. I realize that they are for use on 67-73 Mustangs and are required to be cut to length. That is not the only issue. The straight knurl under the head is too long for a 71-73 and protrudes into the bronze bushing. this will prematurely wear the bushing. To resolve this I needed to install a shim under the head. The older years have a thicker hinge material and this would not be an issue, Other issue but reached char limit.
