Seller Notes: “These finely made angel statues have beautifully carved faces, hands and robes. Sadly they are ... “These finely made angel statues have beautifully carved faces, hands and robes. Sadly they are missing their original wings which would have been attahed to their backs. They are a matched pair in solid oak and they date to the mid/late 1800's. Note fine details in the faces, robes, fingers and toes. They are finished to a warm natural oak color. Overall these statues are in very good antique condition with only very minor scratches and discolorations as would be expected. Note there are holes in the upper back where the original wings would have been. (see photos). They show no woodworm or dry rot whatsoever. Dimensions: 28" tall, 8" wide and 8" deep.”
