Looking back at the pictures, I can now see the yellow coating over the entire outside of the bowl that I hadn't noticed when I purchased it. I wish that had been mentioned in the description, because often it's hard to tell the extent of defects or issues with an item relying only on pictures. Partly my fault for not realizing the yellow was not shadows due to lighting as I had initially thought. OK after lots of soaking and hard scrubbing. Other than that, it was a smooth transaction.
