Product Information
In Marauder, players single-handedly take on an entire base loaded with enemy robots. With nothing but speed, unlimited ammo, and the occasional appearance of a suit of "magic armor," players must reach the reactor core at the center of the base and disable it, while avoiding the attacks of its robot defenders. Blowing the reactor before the time gauge at the bottom of the screen runs out lands some big bonus points. Marauder essentially plays like a miniaturized hyrbid of Berzerk, Wizard Of Wor, and especially Venture; in many ways, it's a bigger, better version of the "master level map" screen from Venture than what was seen in Coleco's Venture for the Atari VCS. On higher difficulty settings, Marauder can leave even the most battle-hardened joystick jockey begging for mercy -- and all without much in the way of graphics or sound, but <I>plenty</I> of tense excitement.
