- l***2 (1799)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseNot to be outdone by the mid-1960s British Beat Boom Invasion of recycled R&B, The Atlantics flipped 'em the surfin' bird and came out with a batch of recordings that beat those upstarts at their own game. A different sound from the usual surf music. Theo is playing organ here (sounds like my old Farfisa) and it's a really cool, edgy, Animals meet Standells sound with the great Johnny Rebb on vocals and toupee. This is great, vintage Aussie rock'n'roll. Essential.
- l***2 (1799)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseWonderful new perspective on some old Beatles chestnuts from the King of the Wire Strainers, Signor M. Cilia. Excellent quality and value. Love the cover art as well. The whole thing looks fantastic and sounds even better. I prefer these instro versions to the originals. Wreck-O-Mended.!!
- l***2 (1799)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseProof positive that gods still walk this earth. The term "All Killer, No Filler" is overused but here it absolutely rings true. There isn't a bad track on the whole album. Great value when you buy it from this seller with the added bonus being that you're buying it from the lads themselves. This is everything a surf guitar album should be, both musically and aesthetically. Designed like a classic surf album from the First Wave + a touching tribute to the late, great Peter Hood on the inside. A+
