A single layer of bubble wrap per item,& tissue paper filler. Anyone that ships breakables should use styrofoam peanuts & tons of bubble wrap to ensure maximum protection during shipping. It was sheer luck that everything arrived intact - albeit a week later than estimated & in a severely mangled box. Higher cost of shipping = higher probability the shipment arrives intact.
