We have 2x 8 GB sticks in the unit. We hate parts just being scrapped since it works other than slot #2, but they would not even offer enough of a discount to replace the 2x 8 GB sticks with 1 x 16 GB and just keeping the bad board, in but they offered $15 off and said that was the max. When we told them that was not even the enough to get a 16gb memory stick they said to send it back.
