Volume 2 appears to have new boards with original skins. Endpapers replaced as shown. Foxing present interspersed with clean pages. Rebind is solid across both volumes with no loose pages. Volume 2 lacks page 805/806 & pages 433/434, 439/440, 447-450, 453-456. These pages were all illustrations of residences which can be sourced online for reference. Majority of text continuity is intact. Volume 2 title page has had a paper repair. An expensive and difficult set to find in excellent condition, this set stacks up quite well with minimal loss, solid binding and excellent usability. A fabulous historical reference on Victoria and it's people and places in 1888.”
