First I am a CCNA with 20 years of experience and it took me 5 days to get this working properly. It turns out multiple problems from suspect cables, my laptop nic port having issues, and the killer, an intermittent power injector dropping power at first and later intermittently crashing the lan section of the network. Fortunately, I had a spare 24V power injector in my work spare parts bag. We techs hate intermittent problems as it drives us crazy troubleshooting. Its work, then stops.
