Contacted the seller. But we were unable to work something out.
The posting said the groupset was only used few times. But the chain was worned out to the point my mechanic had to replace it

The group and chain had 181 miles on it. I have photo proof that the chain was in spec. The listing had high-res photos of each item. The group was sold as is and listed as “used”. The buyer says his “mechanic” said the chain was bad. Sounds like he needs a new mechanic. The buyer complained that the crank was scratched (well documented shoe rub in the photos). The group was sold at a discount as an accepted best offer from the buyer. Clearly buyer’s remorse!
