Oh no! I'm so sorry! It is a Disney Parks souvenir item. If it was metal it would have been much more expensive at its original offering. They had a complete line of them. I believe it glows in the dark, though, and it looks very authentic to the ride character that it portrays. Thank you for your purchase!
