Seller Notes: “I really don't have any idea what this is only that I think it is cool. It looks like a vintage ... “I really don't have any idea what this is only that I think it is cool. It looks like a vintage folding camera or magic lantern to me but I can't find any markings on it except for the words "The Advance". It looks like this is just the frame and is missing a lot of parts including what may have been inside the box. Both sides open using spring shut hinges and there is a red lens on one sides, It may have been used in an old laboratory or university for scientific purposes. It doesn't adjust very much but I may be able to oil it and squeeze it into a smaller box. It currently measures about 20" long x 12" high x 8" wide. Any help with identifying this would be much appreciated.”
