Left and right pieces require you to trim off unnecessary plastic tabs which prevent you from installing on your tailgate. Be careful or you will damage the item and the thin metal on your tailgate. Otherwise, they look great once installed. There is no protective felt on the center piece like what was on the original to keep from scuffing up your paint when the step is closed. You will need to find another option if you want to protect your paint.
