I also have slightly layered hair so I put them in high pony tail and just wrap my hair around it best I can. I have longer hair so I think slightly bigger size would suit more. Either way, if you are rushing to work you can definitely keep it on being on the bus and by the time you arrive you will have pretty ok heatless curls
