The tailpipe was about 7" longer than necessary and was just about the same amount I needed for a correct fitting installation on the two short pipes. After spending an additional $50 at Autozone for some extensions and clamps, I was able to complete the installation. Please see the pictures. The provided pipes had to hang in the factory and the problem is easy to see.
