Jonathon had to send me additional instruction on how to install the power supply (this was the first time I've done any such thing), but now my 17yr old Compaq Presario is up and running like it did the day I brought it home, but even quieter! There is a new-ish smell that the power supply emits though, and I'm hoping it doesn't last.

Arrived sooner than expected. The power supply had all black wires and not multi color like 5he original. All connector plugs were the same except for one. But there was and adaptor in the box but no instructions. I figured it out. A small portion of the case needed to be cut out to get the power supply screwed into the case properly. The supply worked just fine..
