You can even play when the battery is being recharged. The 3DS XL is compatible with the video games from the previous version of this device. It can play any Nintendo DS title as well. It also uses the same button layout as the older Nintendo systems, but this console uses a button style that can offer more responsive inputs. If you want to game without disturbing those around you, the device also includes a headphone jack. This headphone jack supports mono, stereo, and surround sound headphone accessories. Like previous handheld consoles and accessories from Nintendo, this device can go online too. It features an array of built in software so you can immediately take advantage of the wireless online features. The only issue I have is that the item was in a bit rougher shape than I expected from the description. I am aware that these second had DS devices all are old and used, but the item has a pretty bashed up corner as it was dropped by the original owner at some point. Again, unit works but seller should have been a little more descriptive as to the true condition as I don't believe I would have offered full price with the cosmetic damage as it was.
