I also straightened the steel frame holding the control panel as it was severely bent, The controls and knobs were broken. But seems to be working now with better used controls and knob from another Kenwood. Shipping was fast the packing was good I believe the radio was dropped DURING being packaged/wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap. I think I paid too much for the dropped unit we will see when I make contacts on the air
