Upper right corner of front cover bent with slight wrinkle to cloth (not loose). Book is cocked. Bumped corners with some cardboard peeking through. Upper and lower spine covering has some shelf wear. Inside front hinge, the endpapers are slightly split but binding still firm and covers well attached. The rear endpaper is loose and tucked inside with some webbing showing, rear hinge a bit loose The interior pages have some light marks and fingerprints, but generally pretty clean. All page edges are gilt and still quite bright. NO water or moisture issues. NO gift inscriptions or previous owner's name. NO crayon, underlining or other atrocities usually associated with this title. Not perfect, but overall a handsome original copy that presents well. Please Note: This book has not been touched up, rebound, glued, or repaired. It is in its original condition. Scarce.”
