    The item requires a USB A to USB A cable. It will only act as an extension cable. The description is misleading, since I have USB A to USB C cable that would connect to my phone or tablet and the usb A end would connect to the coupler and then to a usb flash drive or accessory like mouse or keyboard. The description should include that in most cases an OTG adapter is needed for this device to work properly.
