I only needed the lower belt, but swapped both belts anyway. The top belt was shredded before I finished mowing my yard (1 acre). I'm not sure if it was user error or a fault in the belt, so I will still rate as a positive experience because of fast shipping. Luckily the old upper belt that I replaced was still intact, so I put it back on.
