Most sellers would not put a product that has protruding pieces in a mailing envelope. Use a box. It costs the same. Packing an irregular shaped item in an envelope is a great way to break it in transit. Also if you use one of those recycled envelopes, wrap the item in plastic so it doesn’t get brown lint all over it. I had to vacuum the item because it was coated.
