Five star dealer offering a fascinating 1864 Shenandoah Valley battlefield cover from a NC soldier writing his sister. The soldier must have dropped off his letter with the regimental mail clerk just before the battle of Fisher's Hill, VA, who then delivered it to the Woodstock, VA post office for processing (the Winchester PO was in Union hands). The NC soldier was subsequently captured and confined in military prison for the rest of the war. Cover safely arrived before scheduled date. : )
