The crown is gold plated base metal, and has some wear to the gold layer. The Sterling case looks as though it might have had a gold wash over the sterling silver in some areas -though much of the gold is worn away. The sterling case has some dings, dimples, nicks, scratches/scuffs, wear and imperfections in some areas. The metal has some patina, tarnish and discoloration in some areas and could use a cleaning/touch up polish The enamel has some small dings, chips, nicks, scuffs, scratches, fleabites, wear and imperfections in some areas,”
