This tool does the job. The crusty, brittle, 25 year old OEM valve seals in my B20Z gave up; actually the smoking was getting worse as time went on. This tool made a moderately easy job even easier. In that, I mean the OEM valve seals were as good as glued on. It took some serious effort with a pair of needle nose vise grips to to get them to budge. Having the head still bolted to the engine was great as it was fixed and I could apply force against it. Very satisfied
