Both books were described as in "very good" condition. Neither were any better than good. Both books had corners bumped and pages were yellowed. One had the corners of several pages folded in. The other had a school stamp and a hand-written mark - this should automatically discount a "very good" description. I have experienced this issue before with other books purchased from this seller.
