The box has everything. It has brass trimming around the entire box, brass reinforcement brackets on the inside, a lock to the inner front storage area, three hidden drawers, and a pull out slide. The unlocking mechanism is well hidden. The felt is original. There is nothing wrong with this box. It is either the first or second best lap desk that I have and I have almost a dozen. This is my last lap that will purchase unless I find a better one, which I highly doubt. The shipping was very quick.
