As a costume prop, this passes. As a faithful reproduction of a period item, it does not. Marked a size 60, it fits like a 62 or 63. The brim is flimsy and not of a period passable material, likewise the chinstrap. The rank patch is poorly made and was stitched onto the hat crooked. The body of the hat is also not of period passable material, though the velvet is fine. My suggestion for the maker is to either revisit their construction or market them for costumes only.
