Belt was 4+ inches short to fit 36 in waist, making it impossible to wear. All belt measure from buckle to middle of 4 to 5 fastener holes, plus 4 or 5 inches additional belt length so it can be put through pant loops securely.

There are no fastener holes on USMC dress belts or the belt you purchased. It was measured correctly and literally. Military belts that are numbered a certain length are literally that length. If you were confused you should have asked. Blocked for dumb negative feedback.
