The hat was described as new. However, when it arrived, it looked like a cap that had been washed, as it had fade spots and wasn't firm as a new cap would be, but instead, it is very limp. I contacted the seller who stated that it was faded because of the material and offered a refund, which I appreciated. I won't entertain any other items from this seller.
